Fear or Love? Which Is More?

Posted on January 2, 2007. Filed under: Uncategorized |

Recently while I was sitting down to journal some events in my life, a phrase came to me very strongly and here is the phrase :

THE FEAR OF BEING HURT IS GREATER THAN TO LOVE

Then it came upon me that some people I knew was strongly affected by this fear. To the extend of with holding love from others.

In relationships we are bound to hurt one another. It is a known fact. But learning to give & take, forgive & forget and excercising grace that Jesus can and will supply us abundantly is something we should strive towards to.

No one says it is going to be an easy task. In relationships, it is never easy. But removing the pride to admit we are wrong when we infact are will heals lots of hurts. The Bible says  “Love covers a multitudes of sins“; in Living Bible Edition (Prov 10:12) it says ” Hatred stirs old quarrels, but love overlooks insults

When I ponders upon this verse, I really wonders when we retracts from loving another for various seemingly valid reasons, to what extends have we exercise LOVE?

Maybe for this new year 2007, we should strive to overlook insults, offenses, bickerings, injustices, and a millions of other scenarios that causes us to have no peace in our hearts?
