My Love In Action

Recently I felt a nudged when I am sitting behind a lady who happened to be a single mom. I am not quite sure why the husband left her & her teenage son when the boy is still young. But the nudging won’t goes away & I reckon it must be My Dad (MD) asking me to do something about it. Although I am just a beginner & an amateur, I took up the couraged to asked her whether she is ok for me to trim her hair & also colour it.

I told her that I will call her the next few days to arange but my schedule were tight & on the weekend, I was also tight up in an early Christmas party. Well, I was feeling a bit guilty for not making the extra effort to just pick up the telephone to call her. After all, how much it will take me to call her?? I asked myself.

Before the party, I was rushing my way right after work, to a charity event organised by our local churches & low & behold .. I saw her there! Now, MD was pretty smart & wouldn’t want me to let go of this idea of his. Well, I walked right up to her & told her to wash her hair when she goes home & don’t put on any oil nor cream in order for the colour to sink in. I told her I will go backs to her house after church to start the work.

Let me give you a little bit more of her background. What I heard from some members .. she is illiterate or with very little education. So, she only survives on cooking/baking cakes or some other special dishes. On top of that she has recently also work as parttime cleaner for offices. But she told me one of the offices have been delaying in paying her.

So, when I was packing all the tools, I felt like giving her beyond something she could imagined, just like MD promised me as well. I took my whitening face mask to give her a nice facial mask while waiting for the hair colour to sink in.

Now, this is how she looks before anything was done (notice the length of her hair?)n1-1.JPGn21.JPG

After 3hours of work, here is how she finally looked
